Price Ratio - Center stone to Setting for E-Ring

I''m in the minority here most likely. But stone:setting ratio was $4300:$2700. She just really liked the Michael B, how could I dissapoint her?

i told my wife.i don''t mind buying her a $4k setting but,it better be the one because i don''t want to hear 3 months from now.....oh " i found another one i really like". there goes 4k down the toilet.

Hey USFBulls! I''m a pharmacist! I wish your girlfriend the best in pharmacy school! Sometimes I wish I was still a technician because then I can just defer all my problems to the pharmacist!

I have two rings -- one is a 4 prong tiffany type solitaire from WF, the other a contour setting from a local store, similar to the one you picked out for your gf. The tiffany one sits really low, as in the head is sitting right on my finger, the other is a medium height. Personally, I prefer the medium height better b/c it showcases the diamond better. It doesn''t get in the way with my job. Sometimes if I wear gloves I have to be careful but actually I have had the lower set ring rip gloves more than the higher set one has.

I think you''ve made a great choice!

Also, good luck on the CFA exam!

OK, sorry if this is a silly question, but a few different settings were discussed here - first the surprise diamond, then the Tiffany knife edge. I guess I''m having trouble following the different tangents, but which setting are you leaning toward? The Tiffany or the surprise diamond?
