I have been looking at diamonds and doing research to find the ring for my gf.
I have come across this princess/square modified diamond solitaire set in platinum
https://myapps.gia.edu/ReportCheckPortal/getReportData.do?&reportno=5106652174&weight=1.5

I have tried using the pricescope tool to search for like diamonds for a price comparison but no luck. Can anyone tell me what would be the market value of this stone? I know the fluorescence probably drops the price a bit.

Also is it true, that round cuts creates more sparkle than any other cut hence the premium per carat? How much more sparkle is a round cut compared to princess cut?

Thanks alot!

How much is it offered at? You should see why the report date is so old (trade in stone? sitting in inventory because it's ugly?) I stopped looking at the report because it does no good without live pictures of the stone plus you need an ASET to evaluate light return from the stone.

Yes RB stones are down to a science, but that's not to say they're all nice looking. What shape does she want? You can find ideal cut princess stones on whiteflash.com or goodoldgold.com with the solasferas stones/princess of hearts stones they sell.

Can't really say if RB>fancy cuts because each stone behaves differently. There may be some fancy cuts that sparkle more than RB, just depending on the cut, but in general IIIIIIIIIII'd say RB stones are far more attractive, but that's my personal preference. My fiance was all about princess until she compared them side by side.

just as an example, here's an ideal princess

Its a second hand ring. I am mainly interested in the stone, and want to get it reset in a tacori setting.
