Looking to purchase an 14k white gold 8 ctw shared prong princess eternity band with G/H color and SI1 clarity minimums. Ring has ~20 stones at 40 points each. What do you think is a reasonable price? Was also looking to source individual stones online and have local jeweler put into setting. Thanks in advance.

Gee, I really don't know. $15k, maybe? Depending on your exact specifications regarding color/clarity, whether the stones have been graded by a lab, markup, setting expense, etc.

My very quick search turned up this as the closest comp but it's only half the carat weight and higher color/clarity: http://www.thefacetscollection.com/Platinum-Shared-Prong-Eternity-Band-19-Princess-p/f1637s.htm

I wouldn't purchase the stones separately because princesses seem to vary more widely than rounds in face-up shape for carat weight, and there's also the issue of some being square and some very not-square.

Sounds like the easiest thing to do is ask a few vendors by email. Twenty 40 PT stones sounds quite uncomfortable. Have you tried one on?
