I like # 4 the best on you. It just seems to flow with your frame just right. #3 is very very pretty, but looks just a little overwhelming for you.

I LOVE #2...I should never look at these threads (I already have a dress)! Gah, I''ll ask..who is the designer???

Or, this? Different from the others, but . . . maybe?
Love Vintage, that dress took my breath away!!!!!! Can I go back a month and wear that instead?!!!
No, you cannot! lol. Your dress was perfect on you!!! Anyway, when are we (all of us married PSers) going to stop seeing other dresses??? At work today, I was talking to a guy whose daughter is getting married . . . and all I could think was "what does her dress look like?" I had to force myself not to ask because he''s the dad and probably not all that interested in talking dresses . . . .

OOOOOOOOOO they are all so lovely but Im partial to number 3!!!!!!!!!

Urghh....this is so hard. Because they all look so great and you! I love Dresses #3 and #4 on you. I like the more fitted look of that these two dresses have -they really bring out your beautiful figure.

I agree with NYCSparkle and Dreaming of the Day. I think you can do better than any of these.

I agree with all 3 of these ladies. It''s not that you don''t look pretty-I just don''t LOVE them and I don''t think you do either. I JUST found my dress, but I was unsure of anything before that, I really thought I would never get that ''this is the one'' feeling, but I honestly did. Do you envision yourself in those AFTER you take them off? Is there one that you are drawn to more? I looked at my dress ALL DAY online today at work, it''s mine, I can''t wait to go back and put it on. I say go try more on, unless you feel that way about any of those dresses...hope this helps and hope I didn''t confuse you more!!

While the first one is not my style at all, it is my favorite on you. Which is strange cause 4 is much more my style than the others... but I''m still really loving number 1 on you.

LeeNY and NYCsparkle--I''m very curious as to why you both think I''m petite. I''m 5''9" and a size 8 or 10, which I''d say is far from petite! I''m extremely hourglass shaped--I have exactly the same bust and hip measurements, and a very small waist.

Lovesvintage--thanks for trying to help. The dresses you picked are gorgeous. However, I have a tummy, and dropped waists seem to cling to it.

Does anyone else have my body type? Very very curvy and tall? I seem to look best in dresses that emphasize the area right below my chest and then flow away from the body, but I''m open to looking at any options!!!

i think you are one of the 5 people on earth that the empire waist style is flattering on and you should take advantage of that! i

#1 on you (still). the detailing and fabric just seems a bit more special than #2 and for whatever god given reason flatters your figure even more!

ETA: i'm pretty curvy too, including a tummy curve, and i NEVER thought that i'd find a dropped waist that looked good, but the dress i found had wrapping detail that camouflaged it better than any A-line dresses did (made me look like i was trying to hide something!). it's the same as NEL's dress too

ah crap, have to do a new post to add the picture!

Number 2 for sure!!!!

here''s a picture on the model

Mimzy,

I tried on a dress very similar to the one you''re talking about! While I loved the dress from the front, I wasn''t so comfortable with the back view. I felt like the dress emphasized my behind, which looked especially big compared to my waist. The sales girls told me I was crazy, but my mom agreed with me...I don''t know anymore! I have tried on 40+ dresses though...

Hi Cali,

I have to agree with some of the pp's, I am not loving any of these dresses on you. I think you could do better. You have an awesome figure, and IMHO, I dont think any of these gowns do you justice. I am not a fan of sweetheart necklines though, so maybe Im biased? I dont know.

I do love that flowy, empire style though. How about something like this (its a Matthew Christopher gown) or something along these lines? I think this dress would look amazing on you!!!

I also LOVE this Reem Acra gown that missrocks was considering. How about something like this?

i like 3 and 4 the best for sure!! You look tiny in number 4 but i think 3 is beautiful!! i dont think you can go wrong with either!!! LOVE Them!!

I have the same body type!!! 5''8 though, very very hourglass. I just chose the dress I liked the best, it may not necessarily look the best on me, but it was the most comfortable and met my criteria (lace, sparkles and a bonus! swiss dots). Here is a pic, and the thread is here

Dani--That Reem Acra is gorgeous! I look much better in sweetheart/necklines that dip in a little. Necklines that are straight across seem to give me little bits of fat below my armpits! It may be that my bra size is too large to look good in thatneckline. I tried on pronovias dresses very similar to that Reem Acra that I LOVED, but the chest area was way too small for my 36D to 36DD chest. The seamstress said that the Pronivias gowns had a more european fit and that even if they were ordered larger, the chest area would still be too small.

I''m not loving any of them on you. They are all nice, but I think the empire waist ones add pounds in the middle instead of showcasing your awesome curves. I''m 5''7" and am an 8-10 (depending on the clothes). I had a DD on top and am a lot smaller on bottom. I''m super thick in the middle. I originally wanted something that would be a little more free-flowing thinking that it would camoflauge my figure and tone it down a little. I just ended up looking like I was drowning in fabric. I ended up with something I swore I''d never get, a mermaid-style. I''ll attach pictures so you can see someone with real curves in a form-fitting dress. It was magnificent, if I might say so myself. I''d love to see you in something similar. You''ve got an amazing figure!

ditto, I want to see your pictures.

eta: I like dress no. 4

Of these, I like 1 and 4, but I honestly don''t think they are showing off your figure to its best potential. However, if you are going for the Grecian goddess look, I think you look lovely. Hope that helps!

hey cali...in the close up pics you look short and thin....you don''t appear to be curvy in the pics.

thanks girlies. we''re actually having a bit of an issue with the photographer so we haven''t gotten our pros back (it''s been 3 months!). when we get them, we''ll definitely post some. :-) I think Cali should flaunt what her Mama gave her :-) You''re beautiful hon. Flaunt it!

So totally agree with you - I''m all for curves.

Cello - I hope you get your photographer situation resolved...what is it with all these bad photographer stories? So infuriating.

I know i am late here, but i LOVE both #1 and #2 - if i had to pick, i would say #2. Both are beautiful, and if you do have a tummy, it surely doesn''t show. You look earthereal and flowy and beautiful in both dresses -

1 or 2. Not liking 3 or 4 that much. But 1 & 2 are lovely. The Reem Acra someone posted is TO DIE FOR, but I can't say without seeing it on you, of course.

I''m not crazy about #4. I think you lose some of your waist curve, and it boxes you in.
