The veil is perfect with it-it looks great but doesn''t take away from the dress at all.

here is a picture of the dress in gold. i was seriously considering it, but i was talked out of it. (it''s not zipped up and i''m holding it up with my arms that''s why it looks sorta funny)

ooh I''m so glad you posted it in gold also. It looks great in the gold also-is it as light as it looks in the photo? I think that the ivory looks so good with you skin tone.

hehe thanks bee! i can only hope so. he''s partial to sort of frufru dresses.....so i hope he can stomach this one

the gold color is pretty close to the picture - it''s definitely not inyourface gold, it''s really beautiful. i was nervous about wearing a white dress because my skin is super red (especially when i am worked up/emotional...which i will be) and i didn''t want the dress to make my skin any brighter. but like i said i was talked out of it, so its good to know you think it looks okay!

i hope that you love the dress as much as i do when you go to try it on! if you ever find yourself in michigan let me know and i can give you the name of the salon that discounted it for me

Thanks for all the photos Mimzy-I''ve saved them on my mac to show my mother

thanks sarah! the veil is one of my favorite parts

i think it goes perfectly with it! (i just hope that i can replicate it at home!)

I''m in Ireland so if they ship let me know! Even though I haven''t tried it on yet, I emailed some stores in the US before christmas and quite a few of them said they''d ship over to here. Anjolique goes under the name Benjamin Roberts over here and in the UK and the only thing that''s different is the price (it''s about double over here).

haha i know you''re in ireland, but i just thought that i would throw that out there

. I''ll find out if they ship. i had asked them if they would sell me the sample, which they wouldn''t, but she took about $200 off the price, so i got it for $1199 (the original price on it was a lot less to begin with than most places i think!). and you''re welcome! hope they are helpful.

wow-that''s a great price! The best price that I received online so far was $1250.

I''m not bee* but mimzy, I think you look smashing! The dress looks so wonderful on you.

Hi mimzy, you look awesome in that dress! I have coveted that dress since I saw New England Lady''s wedding pics. But it was over my budget so I ended up getting a similar mermaid style Maggie Sottero.

mimzy!!! Now THAT is how to work your curves, girlfriend!

Oh, gosh, I adore you in that dress!

I really wish I had a bit more curvature to my figure to pull off a dress like that one! Oh, heck, what am I saying??? I''d need a whole LOT more height on me, too!

I envy you...you are going to be a to-die-for, bee-you-tee-full bride!

crownjewel, teetee and Harleigh thank you all so much
9.gif
i really never thought that i would find a dress that would be flattering, much less a dropped waist styled dress! i'm really excited about it

and harleigh don't be silly! i saw your dress pictures and you looked fab in all of them. i didn't respond to your thread because there was no way that i could ever pick between them! but i definitely adore the dress you chose and you looked absolutely beautiful in it
36.gif
congratulations on finding your dress too!

Holy cow, mimzy, you look unbelievable!! That dress was MADE for you, you look just incredible in it!!
36.gif

Aw, thanks, mimzy! You''re so sweet!

I guess we all just have to work with what we''ve got, huh? And work it, work it, work it!
9.gif
You look smokin''!

Wow! That dress is amazing on you! I love the gold color too-very glamorous. And I hate to say it because it makes me feel like I was just staring at your butt, but I love the booty-ruching detail (DKS''s influence I swear!) in the back. So unusual, but gorgeous!

thank you gwendolyn and FrekeChild!! that''s so nice of you both to say
1.gif

and freke, you''re right- the gold was totally glamorous. i loved it!

Mimzy! I know where you took your photos. Heehee. I have some of me in that first shop somewhere around here (in the Anjolique that ended up being a runner-up dress), and I have a stolen pic in that same dressing room where you took tried on the gold one, but I don't think I posted it.

ETA: The dress is completely fab on you!! LOVE it!!

haha they are so nice at that salon! not so much so at the second salon...(notice the "we do not allow pictures" sign hanging on the back wall of the dressing room). and thank you! where did you end up getting you dress?

Haha, yeah, I agree. First salon was much more fun than the second. I actually found my dress at another place in AA, but I ordered it through Pearl''s Place for less than half of what the shop wanted. They were nice enough at the shop, but I couldn''t justify spending THAT much more for the same dress. They offered me the sample at 20% off, but tack on 6% tax and that wasn''t much of a deal. I actually found the Pearl''s Place steal because I was collecting price quotes to help me negotiate the price on the sample.
