How many can you choose?

If only one I''d go with #3, if two, with #3 and #4. The first one doesen''t have much of a cut, and the second one''s color is somewhat washed out.

if number 4 is not synthetic and actually appears as in the picture, it will retail for $1-2K per carat. if its not in that price range, then there is probably more extinction going on that indicated by the posted picture. that''s ok if you can live with it and the price is right. i would be my choice also. however, as i posted in another thread, i just cannot abide extinction and therefore do not own any spinel because of that fact....my champagne taste collides with my beer budget!

Thanks everyone. I got the last stone since it was also my favourite. It was cheap enough to take the risk. I will report back to let you know if it turns out to be black or synthetic.

#1 might be windowed, #3 looks like it would black out. To me number 2 does not see have a lot of "life," I don''t know how to explain it.

I really like like how #4 looks. I would have to agree in looking into all the things Neatfreak talked about before making the purchace.
