pretty in peridot

I opened up the package from Dan yesterday and I literally had to shield my eyes. WOWZA the peridot is BRIGHT! It had me at hello!

The stone photographs better indoors than out. The outside shots pick up more brown and make it look more camo-ish green than it really is. While there is a slight color shift it's not anything like my camera is showing. Granny Smith apple green is what I'd call it. I had to experiment and see how I liked it paired with either of the spess's.

It’s a very bright and happy yellow green. I think the little bug wants in on some camera action too.

Very, very nice! That peridot is a very fresh color, and as pretty as it looks with the spess, I really like how it looks against the pure pink of the rose. The pink sets off the green perfectly.

Thank ooo~shiney! We're redoing our living room and going with a tropical theme, maybe I should go ahead with the spess and peridot combo. It would suit the mood I've been in! The I need a tropical vacation really bad kinda mood.

I was thinking that same thing! Pink tourmaline is my birthstone so I wonder how that would go with peridot and spess...? Got me thinking!!
