B - with time your olfactory receptors get "used" to the scent and for people who compliment you it is a new fragrance. If you like B more than A, it means, among other things, that your receptors feel it for longer time.
But - I found out that some people are highly allergic to certain scents and "wrong" perfume may cause asthmatic attacks. So I never wear my favorite (strong) perfume to a theater because in has caused allergy in two people.
