One by one, the rings I can wear are dwindling! I'm at 31wks right now. I'm hoping I can make it to the delivery room with at least one of my rings left squished on my left ring finger, but it's not looking good right now! They'll shrink back, right???! Resizing wasn't in my baby budget!

I couldn't I don't think I put my rings on till about 4 weeks after DS 1 :)

They should shrink back!!

They should shrink back but be aware that sometimes your feet don't! I found this to be true after my second, feet went up 1/2 a size.

Of course could also be old age :confused2:

I feel your pain. I went from a ring size 6 to a size 9 during pregnancy - went through about 4 gold rings (I bought new plain gold bands time and time again) as my fingers got fatter. Then I went back down in size over the next 3 months. However, when the big M (menopause) arrived, it slowly turned my once elegant slim fingers back into permanent porkers. Sigh. I did a reset then.

I feel for you. Mine went from size 5 to size 8 during both pregnancies because I gained 50lbs with each one. I bought a pretty CZ ring once I had nothing else in my jewelry box to wear. They went back down as I lost weight after giving birth.

Don’t dispare, they’ll go back down. I can remember a nurse telling me at one of my OB appointments to take my rings off before the swelling would require them to be cut off. It wasn’t a big deal for me not to wear my rings for a while. I do like the idea of buying an inexpensive plain band or CZ ring. Congratulations momma-to-be!

Yes, they should go back down after, assuming you lose the weight. Don't resize at this point.

My ring finger actually went down half a size from 5 to 4.5 after my first pregnancy, even though I was at the same weight. Go figure.

Congrats on your pregnancy, and best wishes for a healthy delivery!

Anne

My fingers swelled when I was pregnant also, and went back down after I delivered.
The feet stayed bigger!

I'm quite worried about the foot thing! I'm already a 9.5/10 with high arches and can tell my shoes feel tighter! Even if my arches just flatten out a little bit, I'll have to get rid of a bunch of shoes.

Fingers and feet stayed the same, and I had a relatively large baby, 8lbs 6oz, 24” long with a big head :eek2:

Hang in there! My fingers never got any larger, but my feet did... and went back to normal again!
I think it's not a good idea to wear any
jewellery to the delivery, since they asked me to remove everything (in case an unplanned c-section -scenario might arise)

And trust me, you don't want your totally excited hubby to be in charge of those sparklies in that situation (think back pocket of his jeans...)

Don’t worry, it’s going to go back to your original size. It just takes time. For me it took about 2 months after delivery.
Don’t forget, you hold a lot of fluids now in your body, which you gonna loose slowly after your child is born.
Don’t give up, everything is going to be ok!

I resorted to wearing my diamond on my pinky finger, after about 7 months along. But my fingers went back to normal after wards.
And yes, my feet stayed about 1/2 size bigger. And my feet are wider also. I think this was partly because I was a stay at home mom for many years, and I didn't wear shoes in the house, and my feet spread out a little!
