Hey people, im new here. I'm trying to check if this can be pricey, because i will try and sell this since i need to pay some debts i owe. This was given to me by my grandma and they are millionaires and she told me it was expensive... But i'm not sure, whatever it has, the diamonds are really small. It has around 20 of them in the ring. Anyone know if it can be expensive and how much?
I know it's hard to say without knowing the cataracts or getting it checked. By an estimate?

You can't really tell much in that picture, the diamonds aren't really large enough to be worth a really huge amount. The best way to know for sure is to take it to an appraiser or valuer. Or if you can get better pics of it someone like Grace might be able to tell you what you would get selling it via consignment;

I know, my phone camera is broken so the pictures it takes are really bad. The ring looks really brilliant and beautiful. You said they aren't large enough to be worth a huge amount. So small diamonds aren't that pricey? Can it be worth a couple of thousands? 1K-10K?
Ive seen so may rings she has and has costed her 10k-200k so that's why i been asking.

Sorry! An appraiser is really the best person to tell you about the value of your ring, but unless your ring has a designer hallmark (Tiffany, Cartier, Harry Winston etc.) be prepared to be disappointed.

That style isn't very popular any more, and the the amount of filler metal between the diamonds detracts from the over all look of the ring, so expect to get only the metal weight price for the ring plus a little extra for the diamonds (like maybe $50ish). Rings like that are all over ebay, and don't really go for very much. The sad truth is Jewelery often looses 70% of it's value once it leaves the jewelery store.

This ring is very similar to yours, so watch how this auction proceeds and see what it ends up selling for:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Huge-Vintag...53023043?pt=US_Fine_Rings&hash=item5d4ebdd843

That will give you a good idea of the true market value of your piece (what someone is actually willing to pay for it), if you don't opt to sell it through a "cash-for-gold" agency.

Diamond weight holds more value as one solid piece because larger diamonds are rarer, So expect a ring with a single 1ct diamond to be worth more than a ring with the same weight of metal but 100 0.01ct diamonds.
