The ring looks gorgeous! :-) Be sure to post pics in Show Me The Bling the Eyecandy thread, so that people can see that the light yellow tint in a modern RB is pretty. People on here say all the time "I only like that color in the chunky facet cuts." It's nice in a modern RB, too.

It is mind blowing what doing some good research about diamonds, and some good scouring for bargains can get you!
If anyone in the "real world" saw that ring, they would think you are a big fat liar if you told them what this cost you! :lol:

Thanks! I have been doing nothing but reading on diamonds in my free time for the past three months or so, that and researching the jewelers to work with! Yekutiel at IDJ is great to work with, he really seemed like a guys guy the first time I spoke with him and I could tell he really cared about his product as well as finding the right one for me. I work in IT, and wrench on computer/network issues all day. When Yekutiel speaks about diamonds, he reminded of myself talking about computer stuff and I could just tell that he was passionate about what he does and thats what I wanted, an expert as well as an enthusiast.

And yes, with my budget, i seriously dont know how I pulled this off but patience + due diligence was the key.

I saved alot of money two ways, 1st was by going with the right L color'ed diamond, beautiful warmer colors can be found at great prices, you just really need the right jeweler to know the best ones to look for.

2nd was finding the great deal on the used setting over at LT, the seller was willing to negotiate on the price a little and I got the setting for a little over 1/4 of the price I would have paid if I had bought it new.

I will definitely do that once I get some more pics/videos of everything!
