Possible to change prongs on current setting?

I love my e-ring setting, however I would like to change one thing- the prongs! They are the standard 4 prong style and while they do the job, I''d rather have "prettier" prongs. I love Facetfire''s prongs (I''ll attach a picture; I hope she doesn''t mind!) and was wondering if a jeweler (possibly Quest?) could remove my prongs and add prongs like FacetFire''s to my current setting.

I''d imagine it would be a fairly standard procedure. No doubt one of the jewellers on PS can give advice.

Looks like you have a nice stone in there, even if you don''t love the prongs!

It should be easy.... each upgrade I have had, they change out my prongs to accomodate the new diamond. I would imagine you could do it even if you weren''t upgrading. It looks like yours would be faily easy as it looks from the picture that the head is already separate from the rest of the setting. Good luck! I think both rings are beautiful!

I agree -- it looks like you just need to pick out a new head/setting that you like, which any B&M jeweler should be able to help you with (you could probably even bring print-outs of what you''re looking for). You tell them what you like, and they will find one that fits your stone and within the outside part of your ring! You probably can''t get that exact U-shape completely, but I bet you could find one that''s a little less-angular. (Art student here, looking at the details.) If not, it''s a pretty setting to me!
