I have a little white gold and diamond RHR that I wear occasionally. I really like the design of it, but the diamonds are completely lifeless. They look like little chips of glass, there is no fire, no brilliance in any of them.

My mother gifted it to me awhile ago so as it was a gift I am apprehensive of changing it should I accidentally hurt her feelings. I sound so ungrateful!

I don''t even know if it''s possible given that these are very very tiny diamonds, so I''m asking here if the experts think it can be done. If it can''t be changed I can certainly live with it. I don''t have a camera that will take a good picture so here are the closeup shots from Overstock.com, where she got it:

You could probably have a jeweler change the diamonds, but the setting charges would surely be more than what the ring is worth.

Thank you Jet, that was what I was afraid of. I will wear and enjoy the ring for the sentiment.

You could maybe just change the center stone, or center and the two heart diamonds.
