Possible Earring Match for Newbie

I'm trying to find a match for an earring I have.. I'm trying to figure out how close the other stone needs to be to match...

Stone 1 (earring I already have):

4.49 x 4.50 x 3.02mm, Color G, Clarity VS, .46ct

Stone 2 (great price, that's why I'm considering it):

4.46 x 4.45 x 3.08mm, Color I, Clarity VVSI, .46ct

Too small? Too much of a color difference? Do I need to compare table and depth percentages?

Here's my lonely earring... looking for the right match.

Anyone out there that can just tell me if there is too much of a color difference? Is it ok since the're both in the "near colorless" category or is it too risky to have a G and I pairing? I have to decide on this in the next couple of hours.

I am not an expert on the subject and even less so on princess cuts. I definitely think the size will match, but I personally would want the same color (or at minimum 1 color difference). Also, I would want similar table sizes. That was my criteria when finding matching matching MRB studs. They are worn far enough away from each other that it doesn't have to match perfectly, so it partially comes down to what differences you are comfortable with... Good luck in the hunt for a match!!!

Oh, I almost forgot, similar sparkle would definitely be another factor to look for!

Stone 1:

4.49 x 4.50 x 3.02mm, Color H, Clarity IF, .46ct

Stone 2:

I put these two stones together to make a set:

.46 H IF 4.49 x 4.50 x 3.02 (single earring)
.46 I VVS1 4.46 x 4.45 x 3.08 (stone to match)

But of course after sending them in to be reset, I found this stone and am now wondering if this would have been a better match:

.49 H VVS2 4.52 x 4.51 x 3.23 (stone to match)

Opinions? I'd like to know, just for learning purposes.

I have stats on the two stones that I found to match, but not the single earring (at least not on me right now). I'm a newbie so I don't know all the things that need to be considered. Got the single earring for a steal, so tried to find a match for it. Was told by the gemologist, that they wouldn't reset if the match wasn't good enough. Either way, I am very happy with the price I paid to make this set. Hope I like how they look when I get them back in a month.

I always prefer the colors to be the same when possible. If you can see the color difference when they come, can you return that diamond and get the other one?

Hi DS! Unfortunately, the other stone has been sold now.

I did see the stones before sending them in though, and I couldn't really tell a difference. I was more concerned with the size at the time.
