the last thread as a way to circumvent Pricescope rules just because the thread was going to disappear.

Really? My guess was just that the thread was *supposed* to last 24-48 hours, people posted personal stuff given that expectation, and finally the Mods decided to honor the spirit of the thread and thus go ahead and pull it.

That makes sense, especially since there was talk of them considering something similar for 2.0. If the thread lasted too long, people would not be as candid in any future similar threads.
