What do I prefer to wear? A plain solitaire. I learned my lesson with my LM halo - my lifestyle doesn't suit ornate, despite how much I enjoy looking at it.

I love anything that looks right for the stone. I don't know how to explain it better than that. I have loved all styles, even ones I would not personally wear, when they suit the center stone.
I am not generally a RB person, so they don't generally catch my eye, especially in solitaires. But three stones and halos do.
In fancy shapes, all settings catch my eye... but the ones I like the best are the ones where the center stone and the setting are in harmony with one another. Unfortunately, sometimes people chose settings that just aren't right for their stones, especially with fancy cuts, and that always makes me sad.
Your particular set, is one of my favorite on PS period. I love the setting, the stone-- all of it. It's not the style. It's the ring itself. It's a gorgeous WHOLE PIECE. And that's what catches my eye the most, complete pieces where the elements are compliment one another.
