If you are sick of me, please skip this post! ;)

Prices are pretty much the same (about$450), so that isn't in the equation. :)

Both rings are platinum.

I prefer the second one; it looks a little sleeker to me.

Ditto, I like two.

I like the first one ....for a soitaire, I think a little visual interest is nice. If it''s an e-ring, my vote might be swayed by the band worn with.

I like #1 better just because of the look of the prongs

I think I like option one better, but would like to see the rings from a few different vantage points. It looks like there is a split design at the top of the ring shank of option one or perhaps an opening in the design, I just can''t tell. But I definitely like the design of the prongs better and the ring shank looks sleeker to me.

BTW: we don''t represent the line, this is just a reflection of my personal taste...

I like #2

I like pic #1

I chuckled when I read this because I prefer Number 2... just because of the look of the prongs!

It''s split right down the middle...so maybe you can''t go wrong with either. I prefer #2.

#1 because the shank on #2 is a little too thick for my taste and I wonder what it will look like from above head on.

#1 is more delicate and you focus more on the prongs/head so your eye is drawn naturally to the diamond.

I prefer #1 over the 2nd.

1 - I like the trellis prongs.

Me too!

Well the vote is 26-24 haha, mixed opinions. I would go with number 2. I don''t know if I am a huge fan of either one, a simple tiffany style would be way better IMO.

#1, flows better.

I''m not fond of the prongs on number 2 ...how they sort of curve out.

Well, I bought the setting today.

I went with settng number 2. It is not identical to the photo. The prongs are actually straight and not curved and I think I like it even better than the picture. The shank it not as wide as the picture appears and it looks very elegant. It's very simple and lovely and I hope to find 2 bands similar to the one posted below in platinum to put on either side of it.

I bought it off of Craigslist for $450 and took it to a trusted local jeweler this afternoon. He weighed it at 7.8 grams of platinum and told me that he thinks I got an astonishing deal. (He'd be shocked to know that I got a men's platinum band, made by the fanciest jeweler in town and weighing 14 grams for $550 last week...

)

I decided on this over setting number 1 for a couple of reasons. First, while I thought the prongs on that setting were cool, it has a split shank on the top. It's a nice look, but I decided that I wanted something more classic and timeless. I think that the two diamond bands will create the visual interest I'm seeking. And, second, it weighs less and costs about $50 more. (The second criteria was just a little extra...didn't really weigh in the big picture decision...)

If anyone sees any preowned platinum bands similar to these and preferably with a euroshank, let me know!

Keep in mind, however, that I'm pretty thrifty. (Cheap?) Hehe.

Thanks again for your input!!!!

I can get this for $190 in white gold, but I really want platinum...

i really like the band to go with. i chose #1, but i am sure that you know more about what she would want than i do. keep us posted

Thanks! I''ll keep you posted. I''m the "she" though. ;) My boyfriend already said he''d NEVER be able to pick somthing; it''s just not his thing. He can barely pick what food he might want to eat for dinner.
