I need help deciding whether the relative proportions of the pear-shape accent stone and cushion are attractive for a pendant. Your input is appreciated!

What are the measurements?
Can you describe the setting?

I have a similar problem. I am turning an existing solitaire pear into a side stone in a new ring.

It will be a pendant with very simple, handmade 18-22k baskets, articulated. One problem with fancy colors is that you typically can't simply dial up any size you like, and I'm trying to decide if this works well enough.

These are awesome! I would not call teh pear 'accent' - it is relatively large enough to stand (beautifully) on it's own near the cushion. The two make a happy couple, I wold say

How big are these? In complete ignorance about this it is hard to tell wether the pear could get much smaller relative to the cushion and not get lost in the setting at all. Regardless, 1 carat or 100, I would not breack up this couple !

Thanks for everyone's input. The mixed results so far reflect my dilemma

. Ana, these aren't large but there's no danger of getting lost in the setting - the pear is around 60 points.

If it were a ring I wouldn't like the combo, but for a pendant I think it should look quite pretty.

Elmo-
I think its just about right. First I love the color combo (On a MUCH lower scale, I often wear garnet and citrine together) so I am biased! Second, I think it would look nice for the ?cushion? to be on the top and then have the teardrop underneath. IOW, flip the picture upside down. Or if you're gonna keep the teardrop on the top, turn the teardrop so that the point is at the top. I think it might "flow" better that way. JMHO. What pretty selections you have there!
