POLL - Favourite diamond cut

Given the discussion we had recently on cut preference, thought it'd be interesting to see the results in a poll.

So, if you can only own ONE diamond - which cut would it be? Only 10 options allowed, so I had to combine some similar cuts ..

My loves are excellent cut OEC/AVR (and ideal rounds for studs), emerald cut, and antique cushion (old or new). I hope to end up with two of the three for rings.

I voted cushions. I think that cushions can vary so wildly, there is something for everyone.

I LOVE ovals, but I am so picky, I see so few that I like. And I also love princesses!

My vote is for EC/Asscher, with a preference for EC. I also find myself looking at cushions & MRBs. But if I can only choose one it will be an EC.

OMG this is so hard.

First choice OEC. Those chunky facets and oh the colors shooting out of them. Love everything about them.

Second choice emerald cut. So elegant and lovely and one day I would love a huge emerald cut diamond to wear on my hand.

Third choice tie between oval and pear. Old cut all the way though with big ole chunky facets.

I love cushions but they face up small and end up being a lot per carat based on that. So, i voted RB, which is a VERY close second.

#3 is where it gets tricky for me...I also love antique cushions and pears, and asscher cuts, but there is something pretty staggering about a finely cut MRB like a CBI too.

Haha!!! Aren't we a greedy bunch.. Diamonds are wonderful and I too love different cuts. My all time has to be asscher.. But I love emerald cuts and vintage cushions too. OECs are catching my attention lately.

2 carat OEC (AVR) I do love emerald and cushions also.. heck I love them all, I'd take 2 of each one of the cuts listed ! (1 - 5 carats please!)

I wish there was an "other" for things like modified rounds or modified steps, like Octavia and crisscuts. I like modified cuts.

Definitely what faces up big, with big bright sparkle. Round brilliant first then OECs for e-ring. I love pears. Looking at pears for necklace too. Maybe pear in bracelet. This is a fun poll.
