POLL - Favourite diamond cut TAKE 2

I've further split the top 3 options in the first poll.. Let's try to get to the bottom of this

An emerald. I was so torn between those and antique cushions, but emeralds are just stunning. I love "flashes" and twinkling facets over the modern brilliant or "crushed ice" styles of cut.

OEC hands down for me because of its chunky facets and pleasing roundish shape and quirky personality. I love the soft glow and different colors that emanate from within the stone and the gorgeous range of colors it emits.

But I love all the different diamond cuts for different reasons and wouldn't mind owning one (or 2 or 3 lol) of each.

It has to be EC for a diamond as a ring.

However, I like other shapes for CSs.

EC for me. I also love asschers (any type), MRB's & cushions (both modern & antique style). Before PS I never gave MRB's a thought & came here specifically to hunt for step-cuts. After learning & buying my ideal cut studs, pendant & five stone I'm a huge fan!
I've satisfied my lust for asschers & cushions somewhat by purchasing gemstones. I really want to upgrade my current EC diamond solitaire but change my mind everyday on what I want. I'm 99% sure it will be an EC.

It's so hard to choose, and I'm glad I don't have to stick with only one!
When I got engaged, I did not know about PS or much about diamonds, and I chose the shape I liked most--marquise. I will always keep that ring and appreciate the shape of marquise diamonds.

When I found PS, first I wanted either a bigger marquise or an asscher, but as time went on I found that I loved ECs and AVCs the most. Between the two, it is hard to choose because I like them for different reasons. ECs have classic elegance and clean lines. AVCs have those bold, broad facets and pastel flashes. I love them both and hope to eventually have both.

I had to choose AVR since that actually was my choice for my e-ring! However, I would love to have an AVC and an emerald cut as a second diamond ring. Hoping for one more!

Emerald!!! (or Oval)...they are on the same page for me. I chose emerald because I didn't see oval as an option, but I like ovals because is isn't a round (I like things that are less common), and it doesn't have the sharp lines and corners like the shapes of squares or rectangles typically do...

However, a good quality diamond has its beauty all on its own regardless of shape...and sometimes it is difficult to justify our selection lol

I voted Other because I think you missed putting Modern Round Brilliant on the list. I would choose a mrb 1st before an OEC & because I already have several H&A rounds, , I'm acquiring an OEC. So OEC would be my 2nd choice.

Hello PS'ers
Long time lurker, first time poster.

My favourite cut happens to be the square modified brilliant - haaaaate calling them princess cuts.
This shape satisfies my need for straight lines and symmetry. Right angles make me sigh. There is also the flashes of brilliance and the beautiful chevrons.

I do also adore asscher and emerald cuts but alas my minuscule budget doesn't allow for the flawless, large stones that make my heart flutter.
