Polishing of designer engagement ring?

I have had my vatche U113 for just a couple months, but it already has many scratches and I'd liked to have it polished. I'm wondering where folks have their designer rings polished. I took my old one to a local jeweler who has done a lot of sizing, polishing, and repairs for me over the years. I'd like to take the vatche there (even though they don't sell vatche). Would that be a concern? Should I take it to a place that sells vatche? What do you do?

Most competent benches can polish a platinum ring without issue. But platinum does develop a patina - it's just what it does. You can polish it, but it will come back.

Did you ask for a special alloy or just the standard? Because I have had my reset U-113 for a year and a half and it does not need polishing. It has 90plat/10iridium and others have requested 95plat/5ruthenium which is very hard. I always take my rings off before doing any kind of housework or cooking, etc. That really helps them stay looking like new!
