Polished or Brushed with Pale Skin Tone?

What is recommended against a pale skin tone - a brushed or polished yellow gold with a platinum head?

I would say either would work, but I think the polished gold would provide lovely contrast with fair skin.

I have PALE skin with pink undertones (natural light blone hair - light blue eyes if that tells you how "pale"

). My e-ring was a brushed finish and one day when I took it to be cleaned the jeweler polished it (since there were scratches going every which way) and offered to re-brush it for me. I however liked the change in look of the ring and opted to keep it polished. Anyway, both brushed and polished look great and the thing I love about gold is that if you brush it, and get tired of that look, it''s very easy to polish it. Or vice versa.
