Anyone have any knowledge about these diamonds, all I know is that they are Canadian, someone offered me one, don't know if it's a good deal don't have much to go on. It'a a 25 points SI and colour is white that's all I have. Can anyone one help please?

You pay a premium for Canadian diamonds and a brand such as polar bear. Depends on the price if its worth it but I wouldn't pay more in that size over a stone cut in India just my 2 cents. WIthout a GIA grading report I wouldn't pay much at all.

Thank you, I'll ask and see if he has a GIA report and maybe get more answers out of him, he wants $480 is that reasonable?

480 for a quarter carat SI doesn't sound like any sort of deal.

Thank you!

James Allen has an F/SI for $400. I wouldn't pay a premium for Polar Bear either.

I'm trying to obtain one of these but having trouble finding them... I appreciate they're not being produced anymore but does anyone have or know where I can get one?

Thanks

Good Old Gold has access to canadian diamonds, if that's what you're after. Or just the cute polar bear? The company that owned the trademark went into receivership and there's a court battle to settle who owns the trademark.

If you're looking for a "conflict free" diamond, we can suggest other sources. Of course, there is still conflict with Canadian diamonds over environmental conflict and the native communities affected by the mines.

To add to that, I have also heard that many/most? Canadian diamonds are sent to China to be cut. So that's a whole nother can of worms in conflict.

By far the biggest cutting center in the world these days is India. They are, for the most part, a pretty civilized place.
