Black stone is more of a diamond shape, reflects light (but not shiny) and very, very hard.
The four sides seem to be smoother

The other creamy stone has a smoother texture, glossy and very hard. The sides seem to have
been shaped so as to make them sharp.

I found those stones.

Your comments are appreciated.

I have no idea but my best guess is it's some sort of sedimentary rock.

Where did you find them?

The second looks like chert to me, not sure on the first. You might be better off posting to a rockhounding or geology group rather than here.

Tx

Found in Texas

I agree with deskjockey, looks like chert or flint, and knapped by someone to create sharp edges.
Since you found it, then it's probably a Native American arrowhead. Cool find!

first one has quartz veins.....see this a lot here California.

if the rock is greenish and feels slippery/soapy it could be serpentine....

as much as I love picking up rocks like this, they are not valuable.

a good geology field guide book will help you lots!
