THE ONLY OTHER QUESTION I HAVE IS IF IT WILL CLASH WITH THE RING WHICH HAS COLOR G DIAMONDS IN THE SETTING?

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO GIVES ME THOUGHTS

I''m not an expert and can''t talk about the measurements and angles, but a 1.35 carat diamond for $4,000 is probably never going to be a bad buy. And I colour and Si clarity aren''t really off the scale for engangment rings either. I have considered both during my search so far. I would''t fret over it. Its a big rock that I am sure is beautiful.

there is a REALLY handy tool called the holloway cut adviser (hca) that can give you a guideline on what angle combinations work well together and make a good performing diamond. you can find the tool here: https://www.pricescope.com/cutadviser.asp
i would suggest you use it and then you can decide whether or not you ''screwed yourself''

The HCA seems to be "offline" at the moment. I hope it gets fixed soon.

The depth seems on the shallow side, while the table is large. Somehow, I have this feeling that the stone isn't going to score well on the HCA.

You may be safe with the I colour and sidestones, as it is generally advised to stick between 2 colour grades, so it depends on your own eyes. As to the deal you got, does the diamond look great to you? If it does and you can''t return it then just enjoy your rock, as that is really all that matters is that it looks good to you - the wearer.

The HCA is back online and I'm sorry to say that it scored very poorly. The grade given is 6.4 and is rated as fair. It came out poor for fire and scintallation. I suppose this explains the $4K for an over 1 carat stone.

If this diamond can't be returned, I wouldn't worry about it as it must have had something that made you want to buy it - you must have found it beautiful or it appealed to you with your own eyes - numbers and tools aren't as important as that. It is easy to second guess yourself after the event, so if you love it that really is all that matters if you can't or don't wish to return it - enjoy your diamond.

How is the clarity when you look at it? Is it eye clean??

Does the vendor have a good return policy? If so, then you would be able to return it if you wish, alternatively, if the diamond isn''t set or sent out yet, it may be possible to cancel the order - but you may have to be fast to do this.
