IGI cert
0.57ct
Color: F
Clarity: VS1
Cut/Sym/Polish: VG/Ex/Ex
Table: 53%
Crown: 17% - 36deg
Pavillion Depth: 42.5% - 40.3deg
Culet: pointed
Fluro: none
Girdle: Medium - Sl Thick

Price: USD 2522

I do not have the depth % and also any pictures. What I can say is that when beside a triple Excellent diamond, it looks less brillant. Any comments as to whether I should buy this diamond or is it value for $$?

I would say that is too expensive given the reputation of EGL. Which division is that?

When you compared it, did you compare it with a known GIA F grade stone too?

Also a rough check of the online vendors give GIA stones of the same specs at a better price.

You can even get a WF ES RB stone, 0.556c, F VS1 for $1964.

Where did you get EGL from? It's an IGI cert? I think we can do a lot better. Off to find another stone - are you in the US? Happy to purchase from the US?

ETA - Try these, they will blow it out of the water

If you are happy to go to SI1, then try this one and save nearly $1000!!!! Make sure it's eyeclean first, give WF a call and they will tell you.

You can do much better...

Forgot to add that this diamond actually comes with a ring setting, hence the higher price...I would estimate the setting to be ard USD350..making the diamond to be ard USD2172

ooops, read wrongly... :P
Still IGI is consider less strict in terms of color and clarity, so you are probably paying for a lower color and clarity grade if the stone is GIA, AGS graded, thus the price is inflated as it is.

IGI are considered by some experts to be less strict on grading, I would pass on this diamond as it doesn''t sound as if it compares favourably to another better cut stone ( by the sound of it).
