What is the lab report please, is it HRD or EGL - and the crown and pavilion angles, polish and symmetry grades? Is it in a store or online vendor?

Hi amk!
I see that you posted about this stone before in another thread. We need a little more data to be able to evaluate the stone for you. As Ms. Lorelei said, we need the crown and pavilion angles, and also the total depth %. If you can provide this info we''d be happy to assess it for you!

Thanks for the response guys. Sorry I havnt responded, I was waiting on the diamond broker to get back to me. I have seen the diamond and it is an HRD certificate. I asked to broker for the details you asked for however he only came back with this:
Here are the details you have requested:
Table: 57%
Hc: 15.0%
Hp: 43.5%

which was already in the certificate. When I saw the diamond I really liked it especially as it was within my budget, however the 2nd time i went to see it, it wasnt so brilliant, dont know if it was the lighting in the room. But do you guys think the broker is hiding something by not giving the angles, he should know what those are right? What do you think? pls help....

I guess HRD gives percentages? You can ask if the report has angles.

The depth is 62. You can run HCA with percentages. HCA says 2.5-worth buying if the price is right. Or you can ask him to get you a Sarin report (this might cost some.)

The proportions look fine to me, it''s really up to your eyes at this point, or buy an Ideal Scope.

Hi Amk!

The only thing you can do is to see if this jeweller can run a Sarin report on this diamond, that would give detailed measurements of the diamond. But if you are set on this one, then ask to check it out in as many different lights as you can, to make sure it appeals to you. But if you feel this broker isn''t the best person to purchase from, then go elsewhere - plenty of fab diamonds out there with all the info available.

Thanks guy, really appreciated....will see if I can get a sarin report. But do you by any chance know how I can get that?

Just ask the broker if he can run one, or if one of his contacts in the business can.

I can''t add anything to the great advice you''ve already had, but just as a comparison, I found this one:

1.23ct G VS2 - $9606 bankwire price

Very slightly smaller, but higher colour & clarity, and it''s an AGS0 Ideal cut, H&A diamond - awesome stone. :)
