Ok, so here is the situation. I will be getting my wedding band soon (within 3 months). I am pretty set on getting the shared-prong setting band for my Lucida. HOWEVER, I have never stopped thinking about the paved thin band (possible with a halo) since I got my e-ring (my poor FI also knew how obsessed I am).

I have ALWAYS loved that look for years. So the question is .... what should I do? Should I reset it (possibly by Leon) ????? I am going nuts! To be completely honest, what''s holding me back is the word "Tiffany". First, I do love Tiffany

. 2nd, oh god the premium that my FI paid!!!

So either talk some sense into me .... or ..... encourage me to reset, perhaps?? What should/can I do????? Advice (or a smack on the head) is MUCH appreciated!

I am torn .....................

Keep your e-ring.

Get a pave wedding band.

Get a halo pendant (maybe by leon?) for your wedding.

I wouldn''t take apart a tiffany ring.

save up for a halo ring down road. I''d save up for a pave wedding band and a shared prong...that way you can mix and match etc. maybe even get a second pave band so you can flank the shared prong band or the e-ring...etc....

Ditto. Just put it out of your mind so you can relax & enjoy your ring.

Agreed. He bought the Tiffany ring for whatever reasons - yours or his - and I wouldn''t take it apart.

Enjoy it the way it is - a halo ring might be a wonderful choice for a RHR down the road.

Oy! If you took apart a Tiffany masterpiece, we'd all be crying!

Lucidas are so phenomenal and just absolutely unique. My childhood friend has one and 10 years later, it is still a wonder. I love it!

The whole point of a special Tiffany is the gorgeous setting and the remarkable diamond piece as a whole. FI bought me a Tiff diamond necklace pre-PS and I'd love to halo it. But I just can't bear to because of what he paid just for the Tiffany setting. So I'm just going to leave it as is! You'd be throwing away thousands and thousands of dollars for the piece itself! The diamond is lovely to be sure, but it's the Tiffany piece as a whole that makes it so special and difficult to replicate, if at all.

I would save up for another halo ring RHR that you can sometimes wear as an e-ring. Maybe a 3 year anniversary present?

I second Bliss, and the others! Leave the Tiffany alone, and get a lovely haloed RHR (maybe a colored stone? Delicious!) a couple years down the line. Then you''ll have double the prettiness!

If it pleases you to leave the Tiffany alone, then that is what I would do.

I can always count on the PSers for great advice!! I must have been delusional to think about taking my Lucida apart. I think once I got the shared-prong band to go with it, my mind will be off literally *obsessing* about the band of my e-ring.

All of you are so great, always!

Thank you!!

Now ..... one of those ideas particularly stood out

.... the thin Leon paved band AND the shared-prong band so I can change it up, I think it is Mrssalvo??

btw, I am wondering if Leon will work on a single paved wedding band? or he will only work on sets?

I am fairly certain he will work on separates :)

I would definitely leave your Lucida alone. I have only had my Whiteflash split shank halo for a few weeks and I was worried it was too over the top for my lifestyle. I seriously considered going back to a solitaire. Then my husband offered to buy me another diamond that I could wear everyday and keep my blingy halo for special occasions. I am happy with that.

I think a lovely sparkly wedding band will look fabulous with your Lucida. I am sure Leon will make a gorgeous band for you.

He certainly will make single rings. I too suggest not taking apart your Lucida! Those are so beautiful.

Leave the Tiffany alone. If you decide to get a whole other ring then you could sell the Tiffany and then consider a halo. But the Tiffany should not be messed with.
