Out of the blue he was contacted by an engineering firm less than 15 minutes from our house in a very desireable work location. He was recommended by someone he used to work with and I just have such a good, good vibe about this firm. It sounds like a great opportunity for him and I hope all goes well when he sends in his resume and interviews with them. I''m praying that this will be good, steady income at a firm with lots of great people and room for advancement. Please send positive thoughts and prayers and lots of PS fairy dust! We''ve had our fair share of challenges this past year and a half and we could sure use all your well wishes. Thanks!

Well, I''ll send ya some of my extra job fairy dust because I''ll tell ya... as lousy as I did on my test and still got hired... I must''ve had a ton of it! And they thought the remodeling dust was making them cough! Sending some your way right now!

My husband just finished polishing up his resume for this specific company. He attached it with his references and sent it off.

I have such a good feeling about this, and it couldn''t have come at a better time. I don''t want to count my husband''s chickens before they hatch, though.

They asked him Friday afternoon to let them know several possibilities when he could be available for an interview. He had pending meetings for this week at his current employer that were being shuffled, so until he got them firmed up he couldn''t respond. He sent an email yesterday early morning and called yesterday afternoon, but no one has called him back. Maybe he didn''t reply soon enough or they found someone else they like, but he''s not heard a peep. Just crickets, and actually they are being pretty quiet, too. I haven''t lost all hope, but it seems like if they were still interested in him, they would have called him by now.

Lumpkin, don't take the silence to mean they aren't interested! Maybe they are just coordinating schedules in their own office so that people are available to meet with your hubby. Or perhaps the person who's coordinating is just swamped. No one ever responds to us as fast as we want them too unfortunately. Hang in there!
