I guess I''m also curious about what the impact of the medium-blue fluorescence may have on the appearance of the stone. Does it really make a difference?

no much, usually un-noticeable. Maybe in a dark room with a blacklight, you will see it.

You probably wouldn''t even notice it, you might see a slight hint of blue in some sunlight but it wouldn''t be much.
