I think it looks good, but don''t really know how to judge a heart cut.

I have been working with Judah at Excel Diamonds. He provided me with the ASET and Idealscope images for this stone and I would like professional feedback. I do not know how to properly read the images. Keep in mind that it is a heart shaped stone. He has inspected the stone and thinks it''s an excellent choice. Thanks for your help.

Hi Bam

Its a very pretty stone, hearts are tricky to evaluate, they aren''t always cut for light return but for shape. I think it looks like a nice heart compared to the ones I have seen, is it the type of heart shape you are looking for? Also check with Judah as to how much of a bow tie this heart shows, this is a dark area which runs across the middle of the stone which literally looks like a bow tie, Judah will be able to advise.

As to professional feedback, most of the pros here won''t be able to comment as per forum policies and the rest of us like myself are only consumers but I hope to do something to assist you anyway!

Thanks to all who have replied. I didn''t realize I couldn''t ask for ''pro'' feedback- my bad. I will take any feedback I can get. It seems that few have the knowledge or expertise to speak to heart shaped images, so any help would be greated appreciated.

Its quite alright, no need to apologize! I just wanted to reiterate that the PS professionals and vendors can't comment on each other's stones and the rest of us are just consumers. As heart shapes go ( according to the ones I have seen) this one looks like a pretty heart.

Serious question- If the vendors and pro''s cannot speak on other''s stones (and I am not sure how the stone that I am asking for feedback on would be considered a PS vendor''s stone since it''s from a virtual inventory), then how do people here get their feedback? I really appreciate all of the valuable information that I have learned. I truly dig this place and what I think it''s about. I would hate to think, however, that the place that taught me about Idealscope and ASET images is the same place that has policies to prevent knowledgeable people from saying a word about them. I feel like I was told about X-Rays for the first time- took steps to get them- and now can''t get a doctor to look because of politics. What is the point of knowing about the images and doing the work to get them if politics- or whatever- prevents them from truly being useful? Can someone tell me a way to get them viewed and commented on based on their own merit?

It really depends on the circumstances in a given situation, read the forum policies where it applies to trade members and I think that will be helpful.
