Hi again,

Based on the advice I received in the previous two threads I posted, I asked Chris from Whiteflash to bring in a 0.54ct H SI1 with Very Strong Brilliance which I plan on setting in a Bellerina pendant. I think the Idealscope and ASET images are spectacular, however I am concerned that there bit of a brown tint to the stone. Can anyone comment on if the brown spots I''ve circled in the below 40x magnification are significant enough that I should be worried?

Nice.

The brown is not from the diamond but light reflected from the surrounding environment, probably what the photographer is wearing.

The brown areas are just a reflection of something in the surroundings and nothing to worry about, this appears to be a beautifully cut diamond.

Thanks for the votes of confidence :) I do think the cut is very pretty. I went ahead and asked Chris to proceed with the order so hopefully I''ll have pictures of the finished product up in a few days! On a side note, I''m having some trouble seeing the inclusions on the 40x image. Can anyone point out where these are? I really appreciate all the help. This forum made this process much less stressful than it could have been!

Glad to help, its a gorgeous diamond! I wouldn't want to point out the inclusions as I could well be wrong, they might not be visible face up and also you can't really judge inclusions from an image for various reasons. To give you an idea of scale, the actual size of this diamond will be smaller than a pencil eraser so shrink this huge image down to that mentally and that will put the inclusions into perspective!

And thats what we like to hear that the forum has helped lessen the stress of purchase and hopefully increased the fun and confidence a bit!

Not necessary you will be able to see the inclusions in the 40x image as the lighting conditions and focus length of the camera may not be correct to catch the inclusion.

wow, gorgeous.

I have to say I was concerned about the brown tint but I dont see it in this stone. Its beautiful!
