I''m looking at a round 1.19 I VS2, 6.80-6.84*4.19
table 54, depth 61.4, crown angle 34, pavilion angle 41.2
ex polish, ex sym, ex cut, flor med, GIA

The most important to me of course is the light return, fire, and scintillation. I plugged these numbers into the HCA and found the stone to be "very good" not ideal or excellent.

Is the light return, fire, and scintillation significantly better to the naked eye with a stone that falls into the ideal or excelllent category versus the very good category?

I can''t decide whether to pass or not on this stone. I do not have the option of seeing it prior to purchase though I can return it.

Does it come with an ideal scope image? This would help tell if you should pass on it.

Seeing that you can''t view it in person, I''ll most likely pass on it and keep looking.

It''s getting dinged a lot because of the PA. Change it to 41 and see what happens.

Having said that, it could be a beautiuful stone, if cut very tightly, but unless you can get an IS, there''s no way to tell.

The med flo with the I is nice, and the other numbers are good.

Is this with an online vendor?

This isn''t an online vendor. I''ll ask for an IS and see if they can provide me with one.

I''m getting the impression from the replies that I won''t likely be impressed with the fire, light reflection, and scintillation of a "very good" stone.

Ok, please post it if you can.

I have a stone with 34/41 angles, and it''s very pretty (look through The Fire thread if you''d like to see it). And I have seen many IS''s with 41.2 PA''s that are killer, so it IS possible this stone would be too. But we need the pic to say for sure.
