Can you give us the IS on it. Looks good to me but I''d want to know if it''s eye clean. If it''s eye clean, then it''s a winner.

Flower, I would personally not suggest a K unless the woman can see it in advance. Some people are color sensitive and when you go lower than J, I think it is getting iffy as a surprise engagement ring. He could get a nice higher color 1 ct. with that budget.

The stone itself looks like it could be beautiful. I too would be little nervous about the K. they can produce a great value for some, but if the wearer is color sensitive at all, i''d be afraid to go that low. We''ve seen some gorgeous K''s around her so you might not rule it out, but definitely need to know how much color can be seen. I personally could not go that low, even in an AGS ideal cut stone

answer was even K color, cut is good so it''s bit looks whiter.
and many custermer who bought K is happy.

I am very color senstive, so I don''t go lower
yes , some PS member bought K? and those are beautiful !

I will tell her all of this advice! thank you !!!!!!

I tallked with my friend, her budget is $6000.
and she ''d love to find a stone more than 1.2 ct. if possible H&A
is it possible to get sparkling stone by the budget ?

I think it is possible, but she should be aware that at that budget, you will have to sacrifice one of the 4 c's. C # 1 is cut, which you're not sacrificing (and nobody on this board would allow you to sacrifice either, so you've got no choice if you're asking our advice). C # 2 is carat, which she's said plainly she wants a specific number. All that's left is color and clarity. Perhaps she should go look at a K stone and make sure she'd rather have 1.2 K vs 1.0 G. IMO I'd not be confident purchasing on behalf of, or advising somebody who gave me specs on a diamond that only included price and carat weight. This shows a possible lack of understanding of the whole package, and can be fertile grounds for disappointment in a sizeable purchase. Why not find her tolerances in all 4 c's, then decide which to sacrifice for the budget?

Good luck,
^

Flower as Lisa isn't likely to answer until later, I will try to help you with the IS. By this we mean Idealscope Image. Ask the vendor if he has one available for this diamond. If so, you can post it here. IS are very useful as they can help determine how well a diamond handles light and therefore how well cut it is. This diamond sounds well worth investigating further!

ETA - I was trying to find this diamond on WF so I could link the IS, but no luck....

The one with the link in this post attached is not an ideal cut stone. On the WF site, you need to stick with the A Cut Above and Expert Selection only. Those are the in-house stones.

Julien. thank you very much for the site! I will take look from now

diamondseeker2006,

Oh!!thank you very much for let me know.
I would like not much recommend to buy K color stone to my friend......
in fact I even can''t tell how look like K color,I believe some must be beautiful

but for her budget, there is not so many stone around 1.2-1.3ct
and she want to get H&A from WF, I am getting confused
how about this stone?

It''s nice, of course, but it''s more than she wants to spend and smaller size than she wants, so I''d hold out for something bigger. Did Gary get back to you about the Infinity J SI2?

yes....you are right. it's more than her budget.
I am still wonder how the K color in real life. my friend is exchanging E-mail with Lesley now ,
and she got Mara's friend's K color picture for example.
my friend is almost getting to close to decide the K color one with E-ring eternity setting .
and I just sent E-mail to gary.

Julie thanks again

I would recommend that your friend SEE the stone before buying/having it set..............
It is very difficult to tell from pictures on the computer........

Hi Flower,

i bought my ''k'' from WF without seeing it and i love it
30.gif
i also had them make a custom setting and set it before i saw the stone in person. i took a huge risk, but i''d do it again (only with WF). i also bought a ''j'' from WF and that''s what i traded in to get the ''k'' .... from the side view, there is a warmth in my stone that comes and goes, it''s there one minute then disappears... i don''t know if that makes sense, but i''m not color sensitive and my stone faces up white and sparkles.....wish your friend luck in finding a stone and keep us posted

Carlotta, thank you very much for your post.
I did recommend to my friend that to sse stone before setting,
since WF has very good policy.

hi! 3hearts.
I saw your beautiful new Ering! that's face up beautiful
30.gif
30.gif

if I am buying stone from WF , maybe I just order before see a stone because I trust WF(Lesley and John)very much

but it's for my friend and I told her to get H&A from WF,so I have feeling bit responsibility.
so I don't want to take her to risk.
now she is choosing between http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-2318219.htm
and the K SI1.

if she chose K SI1, she would have eternity style setting ,
if the I SI1 she would get just simple Solitaire.

I will keep up date! thank you 3hearts.
