Hopefully I can get some thoughts on this cushion that Mark T is working on for me. Any comments are much appreciated.

Cushion Brilliant
6.54*6.06*4.01
1.2 ctw
H Color
SI1 Clarity (but eye clean)
Ex Polish
Vg Sym
Flourescence None
$4525

Comments: Crown angles are greater than 40 degrees (this is one thing that concerns me)

Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

Can you post a photo of the stone with the depth and table %s. If it''s an antique style cushion, the crown angles noted may suit that style cut.

This comment about the crown angles being greater than 40 degrees isn''t uncommon, Mark will be able to advise you if there is any issue. You could post pics and ASET images certainly, but you have one of the best tools available at your disposal - Mark''s eyes! So I would trust his judgement and see what a beautiful diamond he has found for you, if he gives it the thumbs up!

What is the girdle information?
Table?
Depth?
Crown Height?
Culet?
What type of cushion is it? Modern? Antique? Crushed ice?

I''d be all over diamonds with crown angles over 40% (if the pavilion angles combo suits it) because it means it has the potential to be a firecracker!

depth is 66.2%
table is 61%

It is a modern cushion not the really chunky antique style.

You could certainly ask Mark for a photo of the diamond, you are in excellent hands with his experience and expertise!

Sounds like it could be a very sparkley cushion. Please have Mark send you the picture so that you can post it (for review).

Ok, here it is.....

I think there is two different diamonds in the pic. The one on the left is the one I am considering.

that looks nice. me likey.

LOVE IT!!!! Mark does it again!

Mark didn''t really specify which stone belongs to the stats listed above, but I would guess the left one because of the smaller table. Are there any thoughts on this?

Numbers don''t mean much with cushions, I would rely far more on an expert like Mark''s opinion as to whether a cushion is a great candidate, than the numbers.

Soooooooooooo..........

I let Mark know that I am ready to put a down payment for the diamond on the left! Very exciting!

Having looked at the pic of the two diamonds carefully over the weekend, I am still wondering which one I like better. I do like that the one on the left has a smaller table.......but is it me or does it not look symetrical? Also, it almost looks like the one on the right faces up larger (I don''t know if that is because of the larger table or not).

Which one do you like most?

It's tilted...

Ok, I guess you already knew that.

You can't tell if it's non-symmetrical from a picture of a stone tilted that badly. Also, a stone that has VG sym should not be unsymmetrical to the eye.

Ask Mark for another pic with the diamonds table up and not at an angle.
