Hello all, I have been reading this site for a little while and now its time for shopping to begin. What is everybodys opinion of this princess cut? My budget for the stone is $7000. Carat size is important but so is quality. Thanks to all that respond.

I live in NJ so i will be going to see the diamond and pick a setting soon. My only concern is with the H color. Ive read this will be ok but i have a great fear of it looking yellowish.

Well, just have a look at it! see what you think.

Just don''t compare it side by side with a higher color, as you may well be able to see a difference. Just look at it alone, the way you will when it''s in a setting.

Thanks. Any more advice?

Since you actually get to go there, you might ask Tim to round up a few in your price range and look them all over. Spend some time with them in different lighting situations, and then trust what your eyes like, not what''s on the paper!

You are very lucky to have this opportunity.

I have an I princess that looks very white in most lighting. I also have it in a surprise diamond setting, which means that attention is drawn to the profile side of the diamond as well as the top face. So far I''ve been very satisfied with the color. I can see a bit of warmth from the sides at times, but it doesn''t really bother me. Perhaps I''m not color-sensitive enough, but my point is that an H should be just fine on its own.
