Please help with invite wording

So I am having an extremely formal wedding +- 180 ppl.

My parents are divorced but my fiance''s parents are still together. My dad is paying for the wedding venue and food, my mom for my dress, his parents for the alcohol and my fiance and I for the attendants outfits, flowers, invites, photographer and sundries etc

So my question is how to word the invite, this is notably difficult because my mom has not taken back her maiden name and is still known as having the same name as my dad but not being with him... confusing huh

So clearly I cant say "Mr and Mrs B invite you..." or whatever
and"Mr B and Ms B" invite you feels odd as well.

Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions at all would be great right about now.

Tough one Shay - I don''t know what would be usual in the States but there must be lots of wedding etiquette sites that can answer this one, maybe try a Google search. Sorry I can''t be of more help, someone here will probably know but try a search and see what you find, I think there is one called www.ultimatewedding.com

I would say the best way would be:

together with their parents
Ms. Shay''s Mom
Mr. Shay''s Dad
and
Mr. and Mrs. Shay''s FI''s parents
request the honor of your presence blah, blah...

Maybe if you give each of your parents a separate line, it won''t be so weird. I have to think about that one some more but that was the best I could come up with right now! You should probably check the knot or do a search for wedding invitation wording. These things shouldn''t be so hard and we end up going crazy over them when really nobody is paying attention to the wording, they just want to know when and where!
