Hi,
Need some help with looking at two idealscope images.
Stone 1: SI2 J
Depth 62% Table 57% Crown 35 degrees, Pav 41degrees. HCA 2.4 dim: 7.48*7.53*4.65 1.61 ct
idealscope for stone 1 (1114947)
I am a little confused. It looks to me that Stone 1 has a better idealscope image; however HCA score is higher than stone 2. Any comment will be appreciated!
I could be wrong, but from the arrows not aligned, unless they are poor the first stone looks to be on an angle. Maybe a pro will chime in, but that may change the colour slightly...
The second stone has a lot more light intesity from behind - the paler area inside the table is not an issue - if this is the HCA 2.4 stone then I think it is OK. I have said before that when stones have good sym etc up to 3 can be ok.
Even the tilted stone should be nice.
Thanks everyone for offering your advice.
Gary, I just want to clarify which one do you refer to as the second stone. I posted the pic backwards. The first IS I posted is for the second stone and it looks redder. I posted the IS for the first stone in the second posting. The second IS has a HCA of 2.4 and the first posting has an HCA of 1.4.
The first stone is about $1000 less than the second stone. I picked second stone not only because it has a lower HCA, but also the diameters are bigger. Do you all think it is worth the money? Is it going to be a noticeable differences between a stone that has a dimension of 7.48*7.53 vs. 7.67*7.72. I am a size person. Bigger is always better. But if there is no noticeable size difference, I would go with first stone and put the money in a nice setting.
