Please help with halo proportions on CAD

After some trial and error with diamonds and designs, I have finally (definitely) decided on this beautiful AVR http://www.goodoldgold.com/ecommerce/0-79ct-g-si1-august-vintage-round-diamond.html



I'm working with David Klass on a custom design who has so far offered exceptional customer service. I'm wanting something along the lines of this ring, however round (obviously), no gap, and for a wedding band to be able to sit flush.

David has sent through this CAD. I love it! There are just some tweaks I think I'll make. Firstly, I would like to have fewer filigree petals under the basket, so it will be easier to clean. Secondly, I would like to have the halo on a slight downwards angle. Thirdly I'm hoping the shank can be made slimmer in terms of height off the finger, not width. It will be a 1.8mm wide shank in platinum.


My main question is regarding the halo. David said the diamonds in the halo are 1.3mm in size. Does anyone have an example of around this size? I'm having great difficulty getting perspective. I do not want tiny diamonds, however I don't want a disproportionately large halo either. I quite like this balance:

To me it looks like the halo is already tilted.

I just had a halo made for a 3+ carat stone. I requested 1.5 melee, and they mistakenly made it with 1.3. The 1.3 is noticeable and I think you will be happy with it. If you go larger I think it may overwhelm your stone. What size is the melee in the side petal?

Now that you mention it, the halo might look slightly tilted. I think I want it a little more tilted though. I tried some google searching and with the limited results I found, the 1.3mm might be okay, maybe too big? I don't know. I do not know the size of the diamond in the side petal and I'm not too concerned about that one, I just don't want it to be tiny.
