Please help to review this diamond cut.

Hi I found this diamond, it looks good in hca spec it score 1.1, 0.51 e color vvs1. About 4 k usd including setting.

Why are you getting an E VVS .5 diamond?

Honestly you would be better served going with a 70 point G VS2 that is eyeclean. A G VS stone is going to be eyeclean and VERY WHITE. And at 5.6-5.8mm you will REALLY appreciate the size boost and it will look much more proportionate when set.

A 5mm diamond (.5 carats) is most of the time going to look overpowered by most solitiare settings.

Cut is great, just gorgeous, on the stone you posted. But I really would urge you to consider a SLIGHTLY larger stone if her finger is over a size 2.

If you aren't comfortable with going up that much then how about a .65 carat? It's slightly larger, but not as large as a .75. AND it will give you a much better proportion in a setting.

A 5.5-5.7mm stone is VERY modest. One of these would be a great balance of high color, high clarity and modest size.... but they will look much better in a setting than a 5mm stone.

That's a beautiful stone you posted, the images and the proportions are both excellent, it should be stunning. If you also prefer to stick to that size and E VVS then by all means do so if that is what you would both prefer, although it's unusual here , not all ladies want a bigger rock!
