I have been searching for months, and feel that this diamond is right for my size and budget. I went down slightly from initially looking in the 2 carat range.

I believe I have narrowed my search to this diamond. Please give me your feedback regarding the ideal-scope image.

Diamond is a JA 1.90 H VS2 EX cut Ex polish Ex symmetry

1.0 HCA EX EX EX VG

The gemologist rated the light performance as excellent with a lot of brightness. The inclusions include crystals and needles, with pinpoints not shown. The gemologist stated that the diamond is eye clean.

All the above look good to me, based on my knowledge that has largely come from this site.

Any input is greatly appreciated!!

Looks pretty darn good to me...I'd say you found a winner!
(and...for what its worth...1.9 counts as 2 carats in my book!)

Thank you. I have been searching for months, the site has helped tremendously, but I am not experienced with the ideal-scope images.

Looks great!!! Smart to buy just under 2 cts., too!

It took me a while to look under 2 carats, and I know that the prices jump at the key carat markers.

I had been looking at H SI1 and I VS2. I liked the H color, but the clarity of VS2. The 1.90 was similar in size to a 2.0 (I don't think you will really be able to see the difference) and I was able to get the color and clarity in my price range (20,000-22,000). I don't think the size was a bad compromise and I was able to keep the Ex cut, and obtain an excellent HCA score.
