Since the ring she loved had an oval, what about this one? It's got a greenish/yellowish undertone to the grey, so I thought it might look nice with the darker metal. At $2650, it's just a bit over your budget... I can't tell a lot about the faceting, but I'm hoping someone will chime in and critique it.

Here is another one I liked -- yeah, it's pinkish champagne colored, but I still like it! It's $2450.

This one is more brown, but you can see from the bottom photo, it still has a bit of a gray undertone. It's over budget at $2875, but it's a lot larger (6.6 x 5.5 mm) and the faceting looks great... just throwing it out there...

OP have you contacted Grace directly via email regarding rose cuts she may have in inventory? The rose cuts tend to get snapped up fast, and most don't even make it to her official website before being purchased. I was looking for one for awhile, but kept missing out. Her contact info is on her website, and she has a facebook as well. And this rose cut is currently on her smugmug, and not listed as sold, although that's no guarantee of availability.

Also have you asked Caysie about the possibility of her sourcing a rose cut for you? (not sure if she does that, just a thought)
