I just wanted to thank everyone for all their help this week, from the professionals to the regulars here on PS. You guys have truly made my life a lot easier. I've narrowed my search down to these 3, and was wondering if anyone could chime in on their personal opinions regarding these solitaires. Any bit of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and bless you all.

save a thousand by going with the .98

Ditto! You are not going to be able to tell the difference in size at all, and probably not the colour either unless you are extremely colour sensitive. Great choices though!

Hi Enoob,

I''m no expert, but then you''ve picked 3 really nice stones, so it makes it easier for me.

I like that last one with the smaller table, makes for lots of fire.

Plus, you are getting the 1 ct. look, for less, another bonus. Nice color and clarity combo as well. That one gets my vote.

What do you mean by smaller table?

The table is the top, flat facet.

Right. Thanks Julie!

Enoob, if you look at all 3 table measurements, the last one is smaller than the other two. All are fine, but smaller tables often mean more fire, which is a good thing, unless one doesn't care for fire (colored light return) as much.

Here is another beauty if your going for size! You need to make sure its eye clean though!

Also its only a few hundered more than the 4500.00 on and less than the other two stones if you use the bank wire price. I think its like 5040.00. And its BIGGER than the 1 carat mark...unless that's the size she wanted. Then I'd stick with the other stones. This one is 1.27 carats.

^^ Yes, it''s definitely bigger, but it''s also a bit leakier. I like the looks of the other better.

so consensus on the third stone?
33.gif

yes. are you confused about something?

Thank you JulieN. I was still wondering about the lower Table % on the 3rd diamond. What effect does that have on appearance? More difficult to set? Thanks in advance.

No, it definitely doesn't make it harder to set. I don't think I'm very qualified to say exactly WHAT the table does, other than to say that given a certain table size, there are certain proportions that would "work" for it and certain ones that wouldn't.

Ok, took the Pepsi test...3 different tables, and one of them is 2 chevron, the other are 3 chevron. Don't want to post my guess if you haven't talked to Jon yet, though.

I like the .98.

I know they're all really nice stones, but my preference is first .98, the F, the 1.00 G

Yea, the table on the 1st diamond is pretty obvious :)

so, I guess it''s .98 G, 1.00 G, 1.00 F?

Wow, you are good JulieN

Yay, thanks.
