I am struggling to choose one of the two.. please help me to decide

(B)
Carat 1.31
Color G
Clarity VS1
Cut: Ideal
Table: 56.2%
Depth: 61.3%
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: None
Girdle: TN-M
Crown Angle: 34.1
Pavilion angle: 40.7

I looked at both diamonds ideal scope graphs, the first one looks perfect, but the second one looks a little bit uncentered. What do you think? Should I ignore that as people told me it won''t affect the overall performance? Which one is a better diamond? Am I getting a pretty good price from both?

And how big the size difference between 1.2 ct and 1.31 ct? Would people know it right away? My girlfriend has a very small hand (4.5 ring size), 1.2 ct size good enough?

Thanks

Hi hk

Can you post the Idealscope images for each please?

Helpful to see the IS images you are talking about, but both look promising. Size wise, it is the table up dimension and cut that determine if one stone looks bigger than the other not carat size which is a weight measurement, but with these 2 looks good cut wise.

Both will look big on a 4.5 size finger.

And the diameters, though I doubt it''s going to be a huge difference in face up size. On her small finger, either one is going to look very nice!

They both look great on paper.

i will go for number (2).., HCA scored higher and is bigger

Hi caesar,

As long as the score is 2 or under, one is not necessarily better than the other.

Thanks for all your help

For somehow they can''t post link, here is the image attached. (All diamonds are round, FYI)

A diamond

B diamond

Neither is the best pic, but as far as I can tell, I think it could be half a dozen of one, six of the other.

Do you have the diameters?

A diamond:

Measurement: 6.82 - 6.85 X 4.22mm

B diamond:

Measurement: 6.98 - 7.06 X 4.31mm

That''s pretty much what I expected. Not enough size difference to make a visual impact.

Personally, I''d go for the cheaper.

Thanks Ellen.

So just based on the ideal scope, do you think which one is a better diamond on cut, symmetry, and brilliance attribute? Thanks for helping me out through this process.

I honestly think they are about equal. Both would be beautiful! My pick would be the first one, if you made me choose.

And you''re very welcome.
