Hi everyone,
I'm new here and really need some help from you. I have a friend live in other State who is selling her Tiffany & Co Embrace , she want to upgrade her ring to 1.75 carats in Tiffany classic 6 prongs. I really like the ring and thinking to buy it. The only reason that I'm still considering is about the I color. I live in city where don't have Tiffany stores so I couldn't see it in person.
Here is some details could you please help me to see if this ring will have a lot of sparkles and bright white ?
The ring is Tiffany Embrace.
Center stone :1.35
Color I
Clarity : IF
3EX.
Depth percentage : 60.9%
Table : 57%
Crown angle : 34.6%
Pavilion angle : 40.7%
Girdle thickness : medium.
Girdle finish: faceted
Ring comes with boxes and everything
She asking for $11k

Is it worth to buy at that price?

Thank you so much.

One more question please. Do you think the the center stone 1.35 in embrace setting will looks big on finger size 3.75? Thanks.

Well the HCA has it as a 1.1, so it is in the ballpark to further consideration (Ex, Ex, Ex, VG)

Just looked at Tiffany website and a 1 carat starts at $13,900 Tiff Embrace. They don't list color or clarity on the website, but Tiff diamonds are beautiful, but expensive of course.

So if the ring you are looking to buy is $11K and 1.35carats sounds like a good deal to me, remember Tiff goes for a premium due to the name.

Before I went with a PS vendor for a similar ring for my wife I did look at the Embrace, and it is beautiful.

As long as it is in good condition and perhaps the seller has papers, you are in good shape.

Edit: for you last post, nope, will look great on your finger

Hello WillyDiamond.
Thank you very much for your quickly answer . She said the ring is almost in brand new condition. Never polished to looks new before but it's looks new. She has Tiffany Diamond certificate and boxes, white ribbon and even the paper shopping bag. The original price when purchased is $22,000k plus tax and now it's around $26,000 plus tax.
Do you think the Tiffany I color make diamond looks yellow less sprakles ?

How long ago was this purchased? How far away are you from this seller? I would have to meet this person at the Tiffany store nearest me to make certain it checks out, frankly. I wouldn't just take her word for it. But the stone itself sounds fairly well cut.

Hi ane,
Thanks for your response. She is a friend of my friend . She said the ring was purchased over 5 years ago. She live in other state and far away from me. She sent me the pictures and everything but I really don't know how it looks in person especially in I color. Any idea about Tiffany I color?

Anybody here have Tiffany I color please give me some idea. TIA.

If you look at my numbers above, from the current Tiff website ($13,900 for 1 carat Embrace ring), I find it hard to believe that 5 years ago she paid $22,000 and now it is $26,000). I got my numbers from the Tiffany website. Something is wrong here.
That would make me concerned does she really have the ring. If she does, I would request new pictures that you want.
Also, another poster said that you should meet her at a Tiffany store to have it authenticated. I think I would ask for the latter and see what the seller says, I don't want you to get scammed.

edit: Personally I am fine with an "I" color stone.

I dont mind the *I* color, I mind that I don't believe the pricing, or the story this person is telling you. I could be wrong, but I don't believe that the Embrace was for sale 5 years ago, let alone longer than that. You may want to confirm that with Tiffany. I would NOT buy this from her without going TO the Tiffany store and having them confirm it's real. They don't really authenticate anymore, but you could have them clean it, and then the SA will look it over.

Well, what did you end up doing?
