I know the 4 C's but I don't think I know enough to pick out the best bang for the buck and I'm here to ask for your help. My budget is around $7K-ish and my goal is to buy a 1 to 1.X ct, F color, Excellent to Ideal cut, VS2 (to be on the safe side?),and GIA certified. I have been reading and don't know why not a lot of people mentioning bluenile which I think they have one of the best prices. Please help me.

Thanks

Hi tonie-
Yes Blue Nile does have very competitive pricing, they sell a lot of diamonds and I believe they are a reputable on line “go to” for diamonds.
I can’t speak for others on this forum but I tend to recommend stones from vendors other than Blue Diamond bz other vendors have actual images of the stone, not only regular photos but ASET and hearts and arrows images as well.
This along with the “numbers” (crown angle, depth, table etc) help determine if the diamond is well cut and will sparkle reducing the chance of picking a dud and having to send it back.
Also some vendors have amazing buy back and upgrade policies. So even though one may pay a bit more for the diamond there are other considerations that make the extra cost of important value.
Good luck with your search!
