I''m glad you spoke to Inna and got a status update.

I just want to say that I know EXACTLY how you''re feeling right now. When I dropped off my diamond, I literally felt like hurling as I was walking out of his workshop. He has an impeccable reputation here on PS but it was still a HUGE leap of faith to leave the most expensive item I own with someone who, for all intents and purposes, I don''t know.

Of course my mind went into overdrive over the next few loooooong weeks and I would think of a million horrible scenarios. I even made myself start to mentally prepare myself for the possibility of never seeing the stone again. Yes, I''m a bit paranoid

In the end, everything worked out and all that worrying was unnecessary. Like others have mentioned, he''s worked with stones that are FAR more expensive than ours. When I expressed my concern about leaving my stone behind, Inna very bluntly pointed that out. It made me a feel a little better but ouch...talk about a reality check!

My rings turned out beautifully and I would work with Leon again in a heartbeat. In fact, I''m already brainstorming my next Leon project so stay tuned...

Propose in temporary setting and save up for her dream setting and then the two of you can pick the setting out together later. Best of both worlds.

I know exactly how you feel and what you have been through. I was quoted a certain time period from LM and I was afraid to call and email but I very delicately emailed both Leon and Inna and they were great - I never got an attitude or anything like that. At first, I almost felt like they had forgotten about my ring because it was so simple with no major detail I thought it might have been overlooked. But after all is said and done, I think the wait (a week longer than quoted) was worth and I can''t wait to see your ring!

I know Leon is one of the best and I know a lot of us would love one of his designs, but why should he not keep to a time frame? If this was Whiteflash or GOG nobody would be afraid to pick up the phone and question the delays. It seems to me that people are too scared to annoy Leon so they just sit and put up with delays.

Its not like he is doing you a favour and making the ring in his spare time. He is running a business.
i have to agree - I love his work and respect it and all, but i would be upset aswell. Not so much concerned that anything is wrong, but not sure if its really fair not to give a valid reason for being so late..

iconic- the situation you describe is unsettling. You are not the one who should be criticized in this situation. I''m sending you my good thoughts and looking forward to seeing your ring!

leon quoted me 5-6 weeks and it ended up taking 10-11 weeks...
