I''m back, still without a diamond. I took your advice on the one I was originally considering, and decided to pass on it. I found a great replacement on Superbcert, but just found out that it has been sold. Does anyone know of something equivalent out there that I should take a look at? Please don''t flame me for this, but I will not go below an F color or a VS2 clarity. Size is less of an issue, though I would still like something in the 1.3ct range. Here are the specs on the two that I was considering. Did you see these? There aren't alot available in your range for ctw and color/clarity, I searched 1.20-1.45ctw...how much time do you have to wait in order to see if vendors get new inventory?

Also found these on DCD website. I think the 2nd one is the one you were already considering...but passed on (why?)...the first one looks very nice actually with great angles, and fits your bill.

I like the niceice rock, thanks for the suggestion. I passed on the DCD choice because several repondents said it was too pricey, though I'm beginning to think that that might just be the going rate for what I'm looking for. I'll have to go back to my BF and see what he thinks!

Thing is...you are right at the cusp of an almost 1.5c stone and you want expensive color and clarity. So for E VS or similar...the DCD stone at that size is probably spot on in terms of $$...maybe a TAD pricey. But if you don't want to wait..and don't mind spending a bit more, that is what you have to work with in terms of availability. If you CAN wait, who knows what the vendors may get in soon. A bit of a risk.




If you had less stringent clarity and color requirements, e.g. could do something like G SI then you would save alot...maybe something like $2k and quite possibly have more options. But since that isn't possible here...you may be stuck with the $11k area. Anyway, let us know what you decide!
