Hi everyone,

I have decided that I'd really like to purchase a pair of lab grown RB studs recently and have been to many websites and looked at what feels like a million diamonds over the past few weeks. What initially felt fun, now feels as though my head is spinning with all the options! At first I thought I should be able to learn about the diamonds by reading and pick out a good pair...however I'm quickly realizing I'm overwhelmed by all the options and my own limited knowledge. So I was hoping you lovely people could help me.

I'm looking for a 2-2.5 ctw pair. I tend to gravitate to warmer colored stones (ie G,H,I color), I think I'd prefer a higher clarity of VS2 or above however I am very much open for the right stone(s) if they don't fit that exactly....would just want them both to be eye clean. Budget is flexible.

Any one have any suggestions as to a pair of stones they think would be a good fit? Happy to answer any other questions I may have forgotten or other factors that I may have missed to help in the decision.

Thank you majorly in advance!

I understand the feeling! With my current project, I found that I’m really enjoying RareCarat.com because you can search diamond pairs with the specs you want for matching pairs. Plus, their quality check makes it easier to see only the best or decide what I’m willing to sacrifice.

Oh goodness! What a great website…I hadn’t come across them in my search. Thanks for the suggestion! I definitely like that they break that down for you with the quality check.

What do you think of this pair?

Wow. Beautiful stones! Thank you for responding so quickly. My lack of knowledge may shine through with this question so forgive me if that’s the case but will the G vs F stone color difference be noticeable between the two?

I don't believe it will be noticeable as they won't be next to each other, and I feel like an IGI F would not be too different from a GCAL G. Inventory changes every day, though, so I can look again later this week if you'd like a closer match.

You’re too kind. I do really like that pair a lot but I’m not in much of any hurry so maybe a look over the next few days might not be a bad idea? Just to see what else might be out there for comparison. Thanks again!

@Kim N I was just coming back to look at the first pair you posted, but it looks like the first diamond (the 1.22 ctw) got purchased. Not meant to be! What do you think of this pair?

Anything else that you've found that looks good?

Those two are unfortunately not well cut.

How about this?

These look great! Looks like the size difference between the two shouldn't be noticeable correct?

Do you have any experience with settings from Ritani? I'd like something lower set to my ear but have read not great things about the martini setting. 4 prong basket might be better even though they sit up a bit higher on the ear?

No, the size difference shouldn't be noticeable.

I'm not familiar with stud settings from Ritani. You could ask them to take a side-by-side photo for you of the two settings.

I just ordered the second pair, thank you so much for all your help! I ordered the loose diamonds and will just have them set locally where I am since I think I'm partial to a 4 prong martini style which Ritani didn't offer.

Thank you again! Can't wait to get them and see the sparkle!
