I''ve been lurking for a while and finally decided to ask for some assistance. James Allen has four almost identical stones that look to fit my budget and goals, and I''m hoping you fine people can use your experience to help me narrow it down (and tell me if these don''t meet my goals as stated below):

2)http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/G-VS2-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1253598.asp?b=16&a=12&c=77&cid=131
3)http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/G-VS2-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1253593.asp?b=16&a=12&c=77&cid=131
4)http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/G-VS2-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1253591.asp?b=16&a=12&c=77&cid=131

Slightly different stones also in the running...

If you are feeling extra ambitious and want to help me search for other candidates, I''m looking for:
Carat: .95 -> 1.1
Clarity: Must withstand close scrutiny by the unaided eye of a youthful person
Color: H+ but I''m planning to set in platinum so I could probably get away with going lower if there is an awesome cut
Cut: As amazing as possible (that''s why we''re here isn''t it!)
Budget: $6500

Here is a nice one from Wink Jones:

And I would not rule out these SI2's either:

$5900 before PS discount
F-SI2
Another F-SI2

I like the GOG one too, and I just saw this .94 ct. G/SI2 from Wink (don't know why he has so many SI2's but oh well) Link

I did a search on Wink's site for diamonds between 6500 and 6850 because with the Pricescope wire discount, the diamond would fall in your price range and he had these two: G-SI1 and J-VS1

I would not sneeze on this 1.20 ct. J/SI2 which you could still set in platinum
Link

Come to think of it, don't get that last one coz I want it. LOL, JK

#4 for me if you want the G VS2.
#5 looks good too.
#6 looks good also.

Any particular reason on #4 over the others? I'm trying to learn what the experts look for.

Which of the three (4,5,6) would you choose?

I''m no expert outside of what I learned buying diamonds, but I would go for the H color just to get a larger stone, all other cut qualities being equal.

Nice one, Stephan! Nice price too!

They ALL look good it is down to personal preference, all are superbly cut diamonds, it is down to your personal preference too as to which you choose. When you get to this level of cut you can't go wrong.

I like the #4 IS a little better out of all the top 4 JA stones.

Between my picks (4,5,6), will depends on my budget, specs, which vendor has the setting I like and if I want to upgrade in the future.
